The Best and Worst Part.

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12 NIV

The moment I let you into my life, everything changed. Even though you chose me first, I was given the choice to choose you back, that's the beautiful thing. It felt as if I came to the end of a long and heated journey, filled with missteps and cycles, to finally sit down, rest, and sip a tall icy glass of water. I will always compare the day I truly accepted you to water, because you refreshed my soul; I really began to live.

In that moment life became a love story, the kind that most women crave with a man. You don't take the place of a man and a man does not fill any void within me, but you are my fullness and my completion, and everyday I must continue to keep this within my heart. Before you, were impostors. Most people compare you to the sun but in my story they were like the sun, obvious, bright, and a shiny prize that kept the flesh alive, but you were the moon to me, a beacon of light shining through the darkness that was my soul. On every page I flip through in this book called life, more and more, I see your heart, and even more, your true intentions.

One thing about love is trust and with you, it is called faith. And as I walk this walk out with you. The more I love, trust, you. But that's the best and worst part... Trust, trust is a scary thing when I don't know what to expect and when I can't see what you see. However, it reveals how strong I am and that I can be stronger. I thought the journey had stopped but it continued along a different path and you served me refreshments along the way! Sometimes I feel that I am breaking, but I never truly come apart, because you are stretching me, and your cool water fills in the gaps, relieving the aches. If I can just take one step at a time I'll make it to the end where I no longer need to trust in the things unseen but to see you, face to face, and sing I love you.

Romans 5 NIV: "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b]boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us..."
